Homemade Baby Wipes

We used this recipe with our triplets- given to us at a baby shower. It's a great alternative to store bought wipes- for the environment and for the wallet. Since it's earth day, I thought I'd share it with you.

You'll need:

An airtight container with lid
Bounty Paper Towels
1/4 cup baby soap
1/4 cup baby oil
1 1/4 cup water

Cut the paper towel roll in half with a bread knife or electric knife. Pull the center cardboard tube out after cutting around the tube to loosen. Pull the center paper towel out to begin the roll.  Place the roll in the airtight container.  Mix the other ingredients into a solution and pour over the top of the paper towel roll. Replace the lid and you are good to go!

You can also cut an x into the lid of the container to pull the towells out, experiment with other paper towel brands (recycled even), or different oils and soaps.  Supposedly, these break down better in landfills than traditional wipes which have polyester in them.
