Recycled Motto

Some good advice from an earlier era: Use it up, wear it out, make it do! I've always liked the idea of creating new things from old. But I think this takes it even further and uses skills somewhat forgotten. Mending? Repairing? Darning? Who knows how to do these things? I think this economic times call for some creative adaptability. Fix a lamp, a table leg, recover a chair, add a hem, sew a patch- what do you have that you can repair?

Challenge: repair something you would have otherwise thrown out or recycled. I'd love to see what you come up with. Email me your projects?
